The Crew Home is owned and run by Captain Leigh Dunne, an Australian captain with 20+ years in the industry across charter and private yachts, from the Med and Caribbean to the Indian Ocean and beyond.
This is his second crew house. His first was a success and along the way, Leigh noticed what was missing. He took everything he wished he'd had as crew himself and built it: the gym, the recovery setup, the workspace, the kitchen that actually works. The Crew Home is the result and is a home that actually makes sense for the way yachties operate, not a rental thrown together by someone who's never set foot on a boat.
When he's not on the water, you'll find him on one of his motorcycles or planning the next adventure. The same standards he holds on board are the ones he holds here.

The Crew Home is a modern five-bedroom house in Fort Lauderdale, created specifically for yacht crew — whether your boat is on the hard or you're between positions.

If your yacht is in the yard, you need somewhere that feels like home while the work gets done. A real kitchen, space to decompress, a gym to stay sharp, and fast internet for everything else. Rooms are available for the full yard period or by the week.
If you're studying for your next ticket or waiting on the right position to come through, we rent individual rooms too. It's a quieter, more private setup than ordinary crew houses and you won't be surrounded by tourists.
